 ABOUT

For nearly 200 years, the tiny borough of Girard, Pennsylvania has remained relatively unchanged in size and appearance, its Main Street still lined with many of the original structures built by early settlers in the 1840s. But beneath Girard’s quiet, quaint exterior lies a hotbed of paranormal activity, with the spirits of long-dead citizens still making appearances in our current century.

Join us this summer as this year’s ghost walks will focus exclusively on the spirits that inhabit this charming town. As we explore Girard’s hauntings, we will also learn its remarkable history, including stories of the incredible deeds of a secret network of law-breakers who harbored fugitive slaves as they made their way to Canada on the Underground Railroad.

NEW IN 2024

Discover more about Girard Pennsylvania’s fascinating history with a guided walking tour! See the places and hear the stories that earned Girard’s Main Street its designation on the National Register of Historic Places. The walk is approximately a mile long and lasts about an hour. Our last stop will be the Universalist Church on Myrtle Street, where we can go inside, rest among the beautiful stained-glass windows, and learn about the central role this historic church played in Girard’s Underground Railroad.

All walks take place the last Thursday of the month at 1:00pm, May through August 2024. The history walks are free and open to the public, however

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call or text 814-490-5078 to reserve.
